Shane Trujillo, EdM, is an advanced psychology practicum student at Counseling and Psychiatric Services (CAPS) at the University of Colorado Boulder, where his focus is helping students build meaningful skills and deeper self-understanding. He is dedicated to a therapeutic practice grounded in authenticity, warmth, and collaboration.
Prior to joining CAPS, Shane worked in community mental health and carceral settings, leading therapeutic groups addressing trauma, substance use, and healthy relationships while also providing individual psychotherapy. He has contributed to research examining sexual satisfaction, minority stress, and ethnosexual identity, and his clinical interests center on the connections between sexual health, relational intimacy, and mental health outcomes.
